Emergency Nurses Association relocated their headquarters to a two-floor, stand-alone, 44,000-square-foot building in Schaumburg that needed a full renovation to accommodate their growing team. BIG Construction partnered with project manager Savills and design firm BOX Studios to execute a modern design highlighting collaboration, with lots of natural light, and cutting-edge technology. The combination open and private office space includes a steel communication stair. BIG used a Brokk 160 robot to demo through the two floors for the stair, saving time, improving efficiency, and reducing safety risk.
The new space includes open and private meeting areas, ranging from two to 24 seats. A 2,000-square-foot multipurpose café serves as an all-hands meeting space and can be divided by sliding glass panels for smaller teams to meet while employees make use of the café simultaneously.
