Belden has engaged BIG for the buildout of their Chicago Customer Innovation Center including an interactive client-facing lab, training room, conferencing spaces and offices. Pre-planning of the furniture systems to work with the curved walls of the training room, demountable office fronts, and multiple hosting spaces was essential to the clean look requested by Belden. Multiple color-changing light features, panels and specialty ceilings also add to the sophisticated space.

One of six Belden CIC’s around the world, the project includes working with Belden’s consultant for all their showrooms, Two Heads, a designer out of Germany. The high-end nature of the showroom requires BIG coordinate carefully between Two Heads, several internal Belden teams, a Chicago project team, and an AV consultant.
