BIG is excited to announce that two of our interns have accepted full-time positions.

Alyssa Miner has worked with Principal Isaac Chinwalla and Senior Project Manager Kevin Chua on buildouts for Egon Zehnder and the recently completed CareerBuilder headquarters since joining BIG in May of 2018. She graduated from Illinois Institute of Technology with a BS in Civil Engineering in May and interned with BIG throughout her senior year. As a Project Engineer, Alyssa has elected to work with Isaac on our preconstruction team.

Why BIG? “I chose BIG because I find the work engaging and I enjoy the relationships I have built with my co-workers!”

Charlie Murphy joined BIG in January 2018, working with Kevin and Project Manager Matt Peter on the Slalom Consulting and Red Hat buildouts, while completing his degree in Civil Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. As a Project Engineer, Charlie will continue working on the construction administration aspect of projects, overseeing the submittal and RFI process, coordinating with subcontractors and clients and preparing bid packages for prospective jobs.

Why BIG? “During my time as an intern, it became clear how passionate everyone was about their work, as well as seeing each other succeed. I knew that I’d want to start my career at a place like BIG, where everyone motivates and encourages each other to attain their goals.”
